Golf is one of the most mentally taxing and difficult games to play. But this does not mean that the game is off-limits to beginners. In fact, anybody can learn to play a good game in golf, as long as they’re willing to take the right approach.

While the game may not be quite as hard as a lot of the pros like you to believe, it is not something you can learn overnight. However, with a little dedication, and by gaining some knowledge of the different tactics and techniques available, you can start to increase your skill level very quickly. And who knows? Maybe you have what it takes to play like the pros.

In this article, I will discuss the basic rules and how the game a golf is played.

Golf tournaments are played on a golf course. The golf course typically consist of 9 to 18 holes. A hole is successfully finished when the player sinks his or her ball into the cup. The person who sinks their ball and all cups with the least amount of strokes is the winner.

Each course consists of greens, fairways and also hazard spots. An area that is referred to a green is characterized by having low cut grass, and is the easiest to hit a golf ball off of. The fairway represents the smoothest and best path leading to the hole. Hazard spots are things like water, trees and sand traps, which present obstacles to the golfer, and are to be avoided.

In addition to tournament play, where the winner at is determined by how many strokes it took them to complete the course, there are other types of games you can play as well. You can play in teams, and compete for the most number of holes won, as one example.
